This four-day training course is for those who oversee lead abatement projects and follows the EPA curriculum and includes hands-on activities and demonstrations.
This course is for the Contractor/Supervisor that will be overseeing a Lead Abatement Projects to reduce childhood lead poisoning in Target Housing built prior to 1978. This class prepares the student to recognize Lead Hazards, Prepare plans to abate the hazards and oversee the Lead Workers and much more. A certified Supervisor can perform all of the duties that a Lead Worker can, and additionally a Supervisor is responsible for occupant safety during the abatement process and for writing the abatement plan. The course focuses on essential abatement procedures including site preparation, contract planning, project management, abatement implementation and record-keeping. This workshop prepares you to apply your knowledge to the field, with extensive hands-on training. Some states will always require the Lead Abatement Supervisor to be on site at all times.
